First Week

Three sketches for the weekly assignment. I’m trying to express the metaphorical character of the site and program (“Zeitgeist” if you will). I’ve included these because they are not trying to describe a specific element of the design. I have more sketches I haven’t taken pictures of or included here. I still need to work on solidifying the core idea, especially how it relates to the idea behind the program. (In fact, the program seems a bit loose still, and I’d like to see if I can do something about that…) It seems like I have a strong idea of what I want the project to feel like, but it is still nebulous. My next move is to try and pare down the character of the idea and find the right words to describe them. Hopefully not too easier said than done. I could try and make some study models based off these drawings, but I think one of them in particular would be difficult and I’m not entirely sure the form of the dark image really expresses the idea I have.
