  Just a few questions/comments about your thesis document thus far. I think your statement brings up some great issues in our education system. It would be great to see some of the precedents added (from your presentation) that showed a more dynamic space that encouraged a learning environment. Also, if parents can be more involved in the education of a child, is a way to accomplish this architecturally. Many countries have different social and cultural differences in how involved they get with their child.

  I think the existing site is good, and the existing building shows the old model of making schools look like prisons. Putting something on that site that is able to create stronger connections to the community will make education more transparent and open to the community. Perhaps some more site analysis might show the makeup of the surrounding community, and some contextual photos.

  Looking forward to seeing how this develops!
