For this exercise I took a look at Actar Arquitectura, Ian McHarg and read James Corner Field’s description on mapping. I also tried to think about more traditional site analysis that one does in architecture school (ie. tracing the site, making arrows that point to something that you’re trying to indicated as important, showing people traffic v car traffic etc. etc. I know tongue-in-cheek comments are often lost on the web so please realize i’m only making a subtle jab at what I and many others do for most every studio project in school.) Anyways, what i really wanted to get out of this was to try and find a graphic style that I could work with that is bright, clear and descriptive. I would like to take another pass at this exercise but otherwise here’s a screen shot of the work by Actar Arquitectura
