Janine Benyus and Biomimicry

Janine Benyus explains how to learn from Nature’s ingenious mechanisms in her Biomimicry book.  Her 2005 Ted talk delineates research directions and her 2009 update illustrates recent how innovations in many fields stem from careful study of their inspirations.  The Biomimicry Institute’s site has a basic introduction with a process diagram, along with a bibliography, case studies and other useful resources.
