The second of two sites is located in roughly the same Neighborhood, Walker’s Point. While the first site was a tad more urban in nature, this site is obviously much larger. What all the space would be used for, I don’t know yet. The same things attract me to this site as the first one. There are those old buildings that represent the past and heritage of the neighborhood. It is close to a river, and as it exists now is quite wild and unkept (for an urban center).
Walker’s Point in this vicinity has seen some revitalization recently. To the north is the new Harley Davidson Museum, a little further to the north is the renewed Amtrak Station, and there are some improvements to the existing building stock nearby.
