I am definitely going to try to integrate my final project with my studio work. My studio parti is finally far enough along that I can see how the two investigations might overlap. My final project is going to be a screen mock up that is based off organic growth principles – the development of coral in particular. The screen will modulate light (natural and artificial), and in theory begin to take on other roles such as natural ventilation and air filtration.
I plan to do some testing in the daylighting lab as well as with natural light. I want to use either a east or west window because I believe these orientations are a little more dynamic and more difficult to deal with. I have begun a few studies, and will try to get the images up a little later today.
