I got my ass up at sunrise to try and get this animation. It was raining, so I had to take the pictures under my porch. I think I missed a few of the most dramatic light changes setting everything up and figuring out the camera, but it worked relatively well. I think more directly light and a slightly earlier start would have made for a more ideal animation. The wind was relatively strong which bounced the fins around a bit and helped create some movement. I put the gifs together in photoshop which was pretty nice and easy.

I took 19 frames over about 20 minutes between 6:26 and 6:46 am. I tried to post the animation so that it would just run through once, but it was not working. So at least for the time being it is forever looped.
