About

I’m a fifth-year graduate student at the University of Oregon studying volcanology in the Department of Earth Sciences. As part of Josef Dufek’s Eruptive and Planetary Processes  group, I’m interested in modeling magma reservoir evolution through an integration of geophysical and petrological data sets. I believe that the incorporation of not only multiple methodologies (i.e. field work, laboratory experiments and analysis, numerical modeling) but also combining varied data sets is the future to scientific discoveries. While I love studying and researching volcanology, it’s important to me that as a scientific community, we work to make our results and discoveries accessible to the greater community. This includes a passion for museum sciences and educational outreach. Additionally, I’m passionate about making science, specifically geology, accessible to all types of people through my work with IgDEAS.
