“Jusqu’ici tout va bien” – (So far so good)
So far France has exceeded my highest expectations and some. It is everything I have ever dreamed and more. I know that sounds ridiculously cliché, but clichés survive for a reason. There are times when they are the truest thing you can say. After a magnificent dinner that never seemed to end I asked if we could go on a walk around the neighborhood. Our hosts took Breanna Balleby (ma colocataire) and I to le Parc Saint Nicolas right up the street. To put it simply it was breathtaking.
I have spent this entire day exclaiming over and over again, “I’m in France, oh my god I am in France, holy crap I am actually in France!” It may take some adjusting to, but in the meantime I am certainly enjoying the high. Tomorrow we are going to campus for orientation and touring the city. Cannot wait for the adventure to continue!
