Spring 2024 – Linguistic and Cultural Ambassador hired; Language Advisory Panel formed; Panel meetings begin
Fall 2024 – Language Advisory Panel meetings continue
January 2025 – Component skills (letter-sound awareness, phonological awareness, word reading) item pools finalized
Winter-Spring 2025 – Piloting of component skills item pools with K-5 students in two districts
Summer 2025 – Training teachers in participting districts (Anchorage, Chevak, Lower Kuskokwim, Yupiit) to administer screeners
Fall 2025 to Spring 2026 – Screening students three times during the academic year using the new screeners
