About Your Scholarship

Award: THOMSON FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP IN EDUCATION

History of the Scholarship:

This fund was established in 2005 by Keith and Julie Thomson to provide support for students in the College of Education. Julie has a BA in Early Education from the University of Oregon. Keith is a retired Vice President for the Intel Corporation and is past-president of the University of Oregon Foundation Board of Directors. Both Keith and Julie Thomson are strong supporters of the College of Education and the University of Oregon.

The award may be used to support students in any field within the college and may be used for tuition and fee assistance, registration for seminars and workshops, to purchase specialized publications, and materials needed to support the student’s study.

The award recipients will be selected on the basis of the following criteria: 

• Proven prior academic success and demonstrated promise as an educator

The following people established and support this scholarship. In September, you will be asked to write a card to thank them as well as craft a personal testimonial to be sent to the donors.
