About Your Scholarship

Award: BILL AND MARY MARQUESS SCHOLARSHIP AT THE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

History of the Scholarship:

Bill and Mary Marquess have an interest in supporting College of Education undergraduate students. With the College of Education locked firmly into their planned giving estate gift, they are now contributing to fund scholarships for current COE undergraduate students. The Marquess’ love to travel both regionally and internationally. Bill, now retired from selling insurance, enjoys fly fishing on the McKenzie River.

The award recipients will be selected on the basis of the following criteria:

• To provide scholarship awards to Sophomore, Junior, or Senior students enrolled in teacher training programs in the College of Education.

• Preference given to students with financial need, as determined by the University.

• Scholarship is open to a student enrolled and in good standing in any program within the College of Education
