This week was the week where the BBL students got to attend the Career Symposium. Unfortunately i was not able to attend. But I still attended the class with the other students who where not able to attend. When I showed up the instructor for the day let us know that we were actually going to watch the guest speaker from a live stream video for about an hour. I was really glad that I got to hear the speaker talk about the different possibilities this symposium was meant to do to further our academic success in order to make us even more successful in our future outside of college. The most powerful thing that I took out of this speech by Jaymin Patel for the little time being was that Networking helps you develop your reputation. Knowing that will make me really work on the relationships around me, as well as help me stay focused and stay persistent with my work. I am going to really keep that in mind from now on because the more people I meet the more opportunities will be available for me.
