Kassia will discuss cultural identity as expressed through the use of visual “artifacts” in the classroom. Kartz will address the effectiveness of online teaching in relation to the graphical user interface (GUI) and its menus, windows, icons and navigation as a form of communication (visual language). The workshop will conclude with a group activity and discussion. Please feel free to bring your laptops if you would like to discuss your own use of visuals in the classroom.
