Tina Rinaldi and the Eugene Cultural Policy Review Committee are Recognized for Outstanding Service and Contributions to the Community

At the State of the City Address on January 7th, Mayor Kitty Piercy presented Tina Rinaldi, Chair of the Cultural Policy Review Committee, the Mayor’s Community Recognition Award for the Committee’s outstanding service and contributions to the community. Tina is the Program Administrator for the Arts and Administration Program.

The twenty-one person Cultural Policy Review Committee worked for 13 months with city staff and consultants from WolfBrown to create a 10-year plan with prioritized goals and strategies to promote and sustain arts and culture across the community. In July 2007, the City Council unanimously accepted the report and directed city staff to move forward on implementing the priorities of the plan. Tina Rinaldi has been appointed to a six person Implementation Task Team that is currently advising Cultural Services staff on how to move forward in implementing priorities identified in the plan.
