Updated Points to Help with Exercise 2.2c

Updated Points to Help with Exercise 2.2c

The purpose is to test how you compose the communications of your perspectives (more than a test of how much you can 3D model in a few days):

–       What is Make2D and what is rendered? (Photoshop, use layers with multiply transparency from the same view)

–       Are you using the right rendering techniques:

  • Point, Rectangular and or GI for interior perspectives
  • Sun system and or GI for exterior perspectives (match the shadow in your context images to your shadow)

–       Add trees and people doing the activities / rituals you predict.  I would suggest you share these amongst colleagues (server?).

–       How do you differentiate new construction and existing context. One technique is to desaturate (Image / Adjust / Hue/Saturation) and increase brightness.

–      Consider Rhino tools such as trim, split, boolean difference (closed volumes).

–      Sectioning: 1) using a COPY of your model, ‘split’ it using an intersection plane, or 2) type ‘section.’
