Rhino Introductory
Intro:
Rhino interface – command prompt, snapping with osnap, drawing ribbon and toolbar, panning, rotating view
Topic 1 – Stacked
- Viewports – switching between front, top, perspective
- Viewport display – wireframe, shaded, ghosted
- Create rectangle and create box
- Selection method – right drag vs left drag
Topic 2 – Move | Delete
- Select object
- Copy/Move –> input distance –> select move point
- Isometric command (changes viewport to parallel)
- Make 2D
- Group: Ctrl G
- Export Selected (.AI file)
Topic 3 – Illustrator
- Open each exported geometry – place on separate layers
- Adjust lineweights
- Trace with pen tool – new layer – create dashed lines
- Create highlighted wall –> Transparency Tab –> Multiply
Commands: Default Shortcut
- Grid Snap: F9 (can also be located in the toolbar typically docked in the bottom of the window)
- Ortho: F8 (can also be located in the toolbar typically docked in the bottom of the window)
- Osnap: (can also be located in the toolbar typically docked in the bottom of the window)
