GRASSHOPPER  GIS VIZ TOOL / ELEPHANT

Congratulations because getting the Rhino Grasshopper files to work is not easy AND it some times relates to each person’s computer.

  • PLEASE study the files in Teams/Google Drive. Open Rhino and then Grasshopper (be sure to have Elk and Human plugins)
  • Try to see which Grasshopper visualization tools are working and how they work. Circle Tool. Line Tool.
  • Open the CSV file and try to understand each column of data and how it is read in Grasshopper.

ARDUINO

Due next Tuesday. **Please let me know what you need**

SITE VISIT TUESDAY

We will all meet on site at the Lane County Farmer’s Market Pavilion on 8th and Oak at 8:15 am.  My cell is 917-579-0152. You can take EMX from UO area and then walk.

**I will update a Teams / Google Sheet Template for everyone to 1) make a copy in the same location of Teams / Google Drive, 2) add your name, update the headers for two qualities / indicators, and data dictionaries (rating systems) to enter into their Excel / Google Sheet as we walk around from point to point.

https://blogs.uoregon.edu/510w24/category/1-1-research/

I will leave comments under each person’s research post!  Please review them before you work on your revised research for your groups!

Be sure to have charged phones! Think of something to measure as we walk around a 2 x 2 block area together. This will only be a PILOT study and you will do it again on your own. This is about LOOKING, listening, sensing and talking about it together. If you don’t adjust your data dictionary you leWe will also talk design ideas and urban design needs of that site location.
