What problem; who affects; why important
Gentrification is affecting local residents throughout neighborhoods in Barcelona with increasing rent prices often due to an increase in Airbnb and tourist presence. This breakdown of neighborhoods is causing a lack of community cohesion, broken social ties, and lack of access to necessary resources for local residents in order to uphold an industry that is altering the character of Barcelona neighborhoods.
