“Mom and Pop” are small business run and owned by families. This category of owned stores is not limited to restaurants, bookstores, general stores, and automotive repair stores. However, these stores are now a days has a great disadvantage again large corporate or e-commerce businesses. However, there is there hope for Mom and Pop to survive. Consumers has become aware of the prototype’s goods and food options available on corporate businesses and are looking for personalized items.

My interest lies in exploration of people from different ethnic background and who own eateries, restaurants or food trucks. It would be interesting to study neighborhood in downtown areas to explore such places. The other option will be to study Agate and Kinkaid areas 13th Avenue. These streets can be studies in terms of

  1. Peak hours business
  2. Food preference of people
  3. Food cost
  4. Business owners background

I am open to options and interpretation as I hardly know the city well.
