Writing Assignment- Abstract and Outline due Tuesday

WRITING ASSIGNMENT: Do the readings! You must take ideas from the readings and weblog videos (Guallart and Gehl), one per paragraph in the writing. The use of some weblog supplemental readings is welcome but not required.

Please use the follow outline. For Tuesday to do not need full sentences. I’m more interested in what ideas/citations you will use, less your writing. You have the right to make some adjustments after Tuesday but you do not have the right to not give me an abstract and outline, types and printed for Tuesday.

Proposed writing style: 2 paragraphs per idea (see below, not including the abstract paragraph). Begin with a general paragraph and then getting more specific in the second paragraph with a specific quote and or example. Paragraphs as follows:

1. Abstract

2-3. Objectives of the Superillas and previous 22@ district as related to social interaction and cohesion? How may a unit/system approach (data, local, live input) support this idea of Superilla planning? (01: 2 Speranza papers, Latour)

4-5. How does the Plan Cerda (plan or execution) relate to this investigation? (02: Morales, Guallart, Bailo)
6-7. How is it a beginning for planning scales of social interaction (street, block or Superilla)? (03: Ratti, Rueda, Speranza)
8-9. Urban Phenomena and the small scale of details (04: Norburg-Shulz, Zaera-Polo, Vitello, Wilcocks)
10. How may parametric tools relate to small-scale understandings of “place” in general in Superilles?

11. Conclusions and social value
