Selective Storage
Selective Storage
Description:
The Selective Storage wall analyses the different ways to store and display a curated visual collection, such as small sculpture and ceramics. Through varying shelf sizes and heights, the user can determine which pieces can be touched and seen up close, and which pieces can be seen only from afar and not touched at all. Though this selective display, Selective Storage can add another dimension of control for the artist or curator over how the work is shown in galleries and museums.
A system standard unit that measures 4’ x 6’ is used throughout the wall, and derivatives or fractions of this unit are used in more specialized locations on the wall.
