The ASUO Women’s Center has been organizing the Women of Color retreat since 2004. This year we are excited to partner with the Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence. The retreat is an exciting opportunity for self identified women of color to build coalition and develop leadership skills. The retreat also provides a safe space for self identified women of color students to meet and establish relationships outside of an academic context as well as discuss issues relevant to women of color at the U of O. The retreat is open to any self-identified woman of color. Past retreats have included workshops around identity, gender, intersectionality, relaxation, activism and changing the climate of cultural competency on campus. The retreat happen each fall. Please contact the Diversity Coordinator for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
