In the month of October, the Women’s Center runs our annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) toiletry drive. All of the donations will benefit Womenspace and First Family Center. We are distributing bins to collect unopened toiletries that are standard size. The bins will be available for the entire month. We are looking for full sized toiletries, but will accept all donations (see below list).

We are sending this email to see if your department would like a bin to donate unused toiletries to the Domestic Violence Awareness Month toiletry drive? Please reply to this email with the location for the bin to be dropped off or call the ASUO Women’s Center at 541-346-4095.

Each time a person moves there is a long list of things to buy to make their new home comfortable. This includes the little things we ignore most days. When women are surviving abusive relationships and leaving their homes, these small necessities become expensive and burdensome. The relief of having ones donations can really make a difference in others’ lives.
