P.T.S.D. Panel – Understanding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Join us for a panel on combat related and sexual assault trauma. This event aims to bring awareness, understanding, and resources for people who suffer from trauma and help family members and friends relate to the experience of their loved ones.

You will witness personal accounts of trauma, learn about the science of trauma and available resources, and learn how you can recognize and support your friends and family members who may have experienced traumatic events.

Date: Monday, April 20, 2015
Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Place: University of Oregon Campus, EMU Gumwood Room (2nd floor, next to the Ballroom)

Student Veterans, Survivor of Sexual Violence
Michele Prism with the Women’s Center
Counseling Center Representatives
Kevin Wiles with Veterans Affairs
Jeff Larson with the Accessible Education Center
Dr. Holly Arrow, Professor of Psychology, Institute of Cognitive and Decision Sciences

This event is organized by the Veterans and Family Student Association (VFSA) with support by the Women’s Center and financial support from the ASUO Senate.

Refreshments will be provided.
