The UO Pop Voice competition is a co-curricular event with the Popular Music Studies major at the School of Music and Dance. This event features a live showcase and competition judged by a panel of Hollywood music industry professionals and UO music faculty. Participants have the opportunity to take voice lessons in a recording studio setting with the visiting guest judges.

Todd Sickafoose has been recording and performing with innovative genre benders including Ani DiFranco, Andrew Bird, Jenny Scheinman, Anaïs Mitchell, Allison Miller, Ron Miles, Trey Anastasio, Nels Cline, Myra Melford, Tin Hat Trio, Adam Levy, Liz Wright, Scott Amendola, and more. As a producer/engineer, Sickafoose has helmed over 25 albums including Anaïs Mitchell’s critically-acclaimed Hadestown (2010) and Young Man In America (2012).

Halie Loren is an international, award-winning jazz singer/songwriter. She’s released eight albums, garnering several national and international awards with her albums consistently charting at #1 in Billboard/Japan Jazz Charts, iTunes (Canada and Japan) and Amazon Music. For the past seven years she has traveled east to west in the U.S. and other parts of the world, including Canada, Japan, Italy, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Haiti, and Egypt.

Oatmello – Finding a path in the new music industry

Cosmos Corbin has a diverse array of industry knowledge including sound design, marketing, product development, and sustainable energy. He has been involved with a number of start-up ventures and is currently a partner at Corbin & Brooks Consulting, a Eugene-based custom software development and product design company. His artist project, Oatmello, is on Marmoset and Spotify.
