Advising
Undergraduate Advising
When should I see a Philosophy advisor?
- When first declaring your major or minor in philosophy.
- At least once each year to discuss your academic interests, progress, and plans.
- The spring before you begin your senior year (or at least three terms prior to your expected graduation) to avoid delays in graduating.
- To transfer credits in philosophy from another institution
- To get philosophy credit for courses taken during study abroad
- To prepare for graduate study in philosophy.
Please note: If you need advising for anything outside the Philosophy Department, including career advising, you must contact the Office of Academic Advising.
