Getting here
The University of Oregon is located in Eugene, a city of 155,000 at the southern end of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Eugene is served by an airport, Amtrak rail service, and major bus lines. The University of Oregon is easily accessible from Interstate 5.
Airlines
The Eugene Airport (EUG), conveniently located approximately ten miles from downtown and campus, is serviced by United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Allegiant, Frontier, American Airlines, Delta, and flights connecting from many major airlines. For Eugene Airport information, please visit their website. Shuttle service from the Eugene Airport is available from Omni Shuttle (average fare to campus $23.50). Taxis are about $30.00 to the campus area.
Some visitors choose to fly into Portland International Airport (PDX) and drive two hours south to Eugene or take a shuttle service (e.g., hut shuttle service, or city2city shuttle) from the Portland airport.
Train or Bus
For information about transport by train, contact Amtrak. Bus services between cities include Greyhound and Bolt. Within Eugene, bus transportation is available from the Lane Transit District.
Driving Directions
From the Eugene Airport: Follow Highway 99 until it becomes West Seventh Avenue. Get in the right lane and follow West Seventh Avenue until it becomes Franklin Boulevard. Get in the right lane and follow Franklin Boulevard to Agate Street. Turn right onto Agate and right again onto East Thirteenth Avenue. Proceed to the Information Kiosk.
From Portland and the North: From I-5 South, take Exit 194B onto I-105 West. Take Exit 2, keep left and follow the signs to the UO. Proceed in the left lane over the Ferry Street Bridge, exiting onto Broadway, which becomes Franklin Boulevard. Follow Franklin Boulevard to Agate Street. Turn right onto Agate and right again onto East Thirteenth Avenue. Proceed to the Information Kiosk.
From Ashland and the South: PLEASE NOTE EXIT 192 IS CLOSED. Detour: From
I-5 North, take Exit 191. Turn right on Glenwood Boulevard. Proceed north on Glenwood Boulevard to Franklin Boulevard. Turn left on Franklin Boulevard and follow it west to East Thirteenth Avenue. Turn left onto East Thirteenth Avenue. After crossing Agate Street, proceed to the Information Kiosk.
