Brad Schultz

Master’s in Sacred Music – Emory University in Atlanta; Bachelor’s Vocal & Instrumental Music Education, Tuba Performance, Church Music – Luther College

Brad Schultz is a PhD student at the University of Oregon, studying musicology and historical performance practice.  He is also the Director of Music at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene, and Sub-Dean of the Eugene Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Before arriving in Eugene, Brad was a member of the music faculty at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, teaching applied organ, church music, music history, aural skills and group piano. He was also the organist to the student congregation and served as collaborative keyboardist. During his tenure in Decorah, he also served as artistic director of the Madison (Wisconsin) Area Concert Handbells, on the music staff at First Lutheran Church in Decorah, and as collaborative keyboardist for the Minnesota All-State Lutheran Choir, an auditioned group of 45 high school singers. Brad has served on church staffs in Iowa, Idaho, Minnesota, Georgia, and Oregon. He holds the Master’s Degree in Sacred Music from Emory University in Atlanta, and a Bachelor’s Degree encompassing Vocal and Instrumental music education, tuba performance and church music from Luther College.
