I am an Assistant Professor of Spanish Sociolinguistics in the Department of Romance Languages in the School of Global Studies and Languages at the University of Oregon. My interdisciplinary research focuses on language ideologies, sociolinguistic variation, and language learning during study abroad in Southern Peru. I hold a Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics from The Ohio State University with a specialization in second language studies and applied linguistics.
