Integrating Geography into an Upper Level High School Ocean Science Curriculum
This research embeds latitude and longitude in an upper-level high school Oceanography class. The geography and science lessons included in this project are integrated into three trimesters. Trimester 1: how to use maps and position using longitude and latitude and use geospatial technologies and spatial thinking to understand and communicate information. Trimester 2: Applying longitude and latitude to collect and process scientific data.
Trimester 3: Integrating concepts of longitude and latitude into a final project. Student assessments, work samples, and presentations are included.

Teaching Advanced Placement Human Geography in Ninth Grade: The Motives and Implications
This project explores why schools in South Carolina offer APHG to ninth graders and how the education of students taking APHG in the ninth grade is enhanced.
