About

Mission: An affiliate of Americans for the Arts, Emerging Leaders in the Arts Network (ELAN) is a student-run professional development organization connected with the Arts & Administration program at the University of Oregon that cultivates leadership, dialogue, and engagement within the arts and culture community.

ELAN is a student-initiated organization committed to supporting prospective and continuing students – as well as alumni – through promoting constructive dialogue within the arts community and organizing related events and collaborative relationships reflective of the interests of current students. ELAN offers opportunities for students of all disciplines to discuss, contemplate, explore, study, debate, and promote art, creativity, and culture. As a collective, ELAN can be a supplemental source of knowledge, exchange, and professional development, providing a true forum for the continuation of the discussion that has been generated within classrooms, lectures, employment, internships, and life experiences.

Emerging Leaders in the Arts Network (ELAN) is an affiliate of the Americans for the Arts Emerging Leaders Network, the first student-led chapter of Emerging Leaders in the Arts Network, and member organization of the Associated Students of the University of Oregon.
