Carl Falsgraf received holds a BA is Psychology, an MA in Asian Studies, and a Ph.D. in Linguistics. He lived in Japan for five years and speaks Japanese. He has published research on language acquisition, assessment, and language teaching. He is the founder of the Center for Applied Second Language Studies which he headed until 2013. He now works as an independent writer and occasionally teaches courses.
