MEETING #1 at CAMCOR, March 5th

Over the course of the last month we managed to unite people from a variety of departments and successfully brainstormed how to create a collaborative scientific community at the University of Oregon.

Now, we are ready to announce our first meeting for Curiosity, which will be held in CAMCOR (the Lokey Lab) on March 5th, 5-6pm! Surrounded by all of the analytical powers at the University of Oregon, we will introduce the idea of Curiosity to a larger audience. This first meeting can be thought of as a ‘science speed-dating’ event, where you will be able to introduce yourself and hear about other people’s research interests in order to promote a larger scientific discussion. Following the event, there will be time to continue building acquaintances amongst the campus community. Light food and drinks will be provided.

We are always open to ideas and suggestions for the further development of CuriosityWe are also in need of speakers for our upcoming events.

Please contact us at uocuriosity@gmail.com if you are interested in becoming more involved.

  1. This is indeed a very important initiative for UO researchers and I am optimistic it will provide the much needed interdisciplinary bonds, missing among UO research projects.
