About the Port of Tillamook

The Port of Tillamook is a special district focused on the creation and sustainment of jobs, primarily through the use of transportation infrastructure, land sales and leases. The Port of Tillamook is the only Port Authority in Oregon not sited on water. Comprised of  1600+ acres of land zoned for industrial use just 2 miles south of the town of Tillamook, Oregon, the Port of Tillamook Bay is the largest tract of industrial land on the Oregon coast. The Port of Tillamook Bay is located on land that was formerly occupied by the U.S. Naval Air Station — the home of blimp squadron during World War II.

Garrett is placed with the Port of Tillamook, where he will work with Port staff and representatives from various State agencies on the review and analysis of current Port zoning standards. After the initial review, Garrett will work through the application process and ultimately the update of existing zoning standards. He will review the Port’s existing Comprehensive Master Plan, incorporating the last three years of capital improvements to create with a look to the Port’s future for planning and growth. Lastly, Garrett will review current Port assets and create a working file and usable strategy for management and replacement of such assets.
