“Research Partnership Workshop on Water for Women Engineers and Researchers (POWWER) from the U.S. and Africa”

The Manor Hotel
Kigali, Rwanda
June 10-12, 2016

This workshop has been a phenomenal opportunity to build networks of women scientists and engineers working on water resource issues around Africa!  We had participation from women from 11 different African countries.  Together we developed a series of action plans to both build our COACh network while also to work to make our countries put access to clean water as a priority – WATER FIRST – as our mantra.  This was the third in a series of POWWER workshops, the first held in 2014 in Casablanca, Morocco and one last year in Windhoek Namibia.   The project has been funded by the US State Department through the division of OES.

See more details on the COACh facebook page about the workshop and watch this page for updates.

Thanks so much to all the fantastic women who took part in this workshop.
