POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Description:
The Arts and Business Alliance of Eugene (ABAE) seeks a Cinema Studies or Journalism and Communications student to film monthly seminars and edit/produce appropriate video summaries for on-line distribution.
Estimated time commitment: approximately 15-20 hours per seminar (4 hours filming; 11-16 hours editing)
Compensation: $250 per seminar
ABAE’s Creative Academy seminars empower business leaders to meet their greatest challenges through the artistic process and by better engaging Eugene’s vibrant arts community. Each Seminar is focused on a specific business need and how the application of artistic practices or the engagement of local artists can meet that need. Attendance is limited to approximately 20 business owners and managers per Seminar to ensure lively discussion and personalized training. Seminars are held in downtown Eugene locations.
About ABAE: The Arts and Business Alliance of Eugene is a partnership between the University of Oregon, Lane Community College, City of Eugene, Travel Lane County, and the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce to enrich the community through strong arts and business partnerships. Required Experience:
Understanding and experience with commercial pre-production, filming, and post-production practices.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with commercial videography and/or documentary film-making is preferred.
