Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my ePortfolio! I am working towards my Master’s in Arts Management with a concentration in Performing Arts and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management. This blog will track my professional and academic progress throughout my time at the University of Oregon.

Prior to moving to Eugene, I attended the University of Colorado, Boulder where I received my BFA in Theatre Performance and my BA in History. My experience producing the University of Colorado’s 11th Annual Fringe Festival provided the initial inspiration for me to study Arts Management. In the three years between graduating from University of Colorado and enrolling at University of Oregon, I gained experience in fundraising and events planning for nonprofit organizations through internships at Colorado Ballet and Washington Environmental Council. In addition to my internships, I continued to perform and worked full time as a shift supervisor for Starbucks. My diverse educational and work experiences have convinced me that what I want more than anything is to run a performing arts organization.

Growing up, some of my happiest memories were spent watching plays, going to theatre camp, and taking part in after school theatre programs. Those experiences were all made possible by arts programming. I believe that arts organizations play a crucial role in their communities and can enrich the lives of those they serve. As an arts administrator, I hope to help bring high quality performing arts programming to the maximum number of people in my community.
