Zoom Info for Presenters
- Conduct Internet Speed Test: Please conduct an internet speed test on your computer in the location where you will be connecting to class remotely:
- Bandwidth Requirement: minimum 8 Mbps (for good quality call)
- You can test your Internet speeds at http://speedtest.net.
- If the speed test indicates your connection is of poor quality, please consider using a direct ethernet connection.
- Install Zoom app or Update Zoom app:
- Download the Zoom app (select the “Zoom Client for Meetings”) OR make sure your Zoom app is updated (1-minute “how to update” instructions are provided below for Mac, Windows 10 or iOS).
- Connecting to Class:
- Enter Meeting ID: 822 3439 2855 (in the Zoom Application for Mac or PC).
- Enter Passcode: 425350
- Re-Start your Machine Before Class.
Zoom Features:
The following can be useful if you need to receive feedback from students during lecture (Note: During lecture, you can see five [5] students when sharing your screen, and all students when not sharing your screen).
- Use Chat: If you want students or groups to respond with one or two words or a number i.e., “rate this between 1-5” or “respond with one of the following words…”, etc.
- Use Participants: If you want students to select the following: “Yes”or “No” answer, or “Thumbs Up” or “Thumbs Down”.
